Jehovah’s Witnesses resume in-person worship

All congregations of Jehovah’s Witnesses around the world are encouraged to begin holding in-person meetings from April 1. For most of the past two years, buildings of worship have remained closed around the world due to the risks associated with in-person gatherings. Jehovah’s Witnesses in the United States also suspended their public ministry on March 20, 2020. Since then, they have continued their ministry through letters and phone calls while holding bi-weekly meetings in a virtual format. Average attendance at such meetings exceeded 1.5 million each week in the United States, even though there were fewer than 1.3 million Jehovah’s Witnesses in some 13,000 congregations. The local Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses is located at 2416 Millwood Pike, Winchester. Telephone: 540-662-5431.
